Number (N)ine – SS05 Distressed Logo Tee Shirt

From Spring Summer 2005 titled “Night Crawler” this tee from a treasured Takahiro Miyashita era of the brand is one of few iterations of tees that feature a true logo spellout. Miyashita loved to use typography but rarely used plain brand logos but rather often expressed his passions for music or philosophical and moral ideologies.

The tee features a vintage brown base with an old English style logo on the front. Intentional notch distressing on the hems sleeves and neckline, as well as scattered holes throughout. The hole distressing is often refered to as “shotgun” distressing, but I believe it’s meant to resemble cigarette holes. Tons of detail in an otherwise stripped-down logo tee from the pinnacle of the brand’s timeline.
